Emily Nelson

Emily is a professional actress, improviser, voice over artist and teacher living in Los Angeles. Originally from Chicago, she began acting and improvising at a young age before earning a BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University. Some of her television credits include TRUE DETECTIVE, PLATFORM, GLOW, SHAMELESS, SIDESWIPED, MELISSA & JOEY, CODE BLACK, BONES, THE MENTALIST, COLD CASE, BOSTON LEGAL, WITHOUT A TRACE, and ER. In 2007 she had the pleasure of filming the feature film MADE OF HONOR. Emily’s stage work has included wonderful roles in such plays as COOKING WITH ELVIS, HOME FREE!, THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN IN THE MOON MARIGOLDS, among others. As a teaching artist she currently teaches at AMDA | College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Emily was thrilled to join the teaching staff at Interlochen Center for the Arts this Summer, teaching On Camera Acting as a Guest Artist. Emily began teaching with outreach programs and arts-in-school companies such as Young Storytellers Foundation and Urban Anthropology Project (Los Angeles), Creative Youth Community Learning Experience (CYCLE) and The Shanti Foundation For Peace (Chicago), Society For The Education of the Arts, The National Shakespeare Company, Actor’s Creative Experience , Strike Anywhere! Improvisation (NYC), The Florida Studio Theatre (Sarasota, FL), and The Washington Island Players (Washington Island, WI). Emily lives in Los Angeles with her family and two wonderful Huskies!

Merritt Hicks
Merritt Hicks is a professional actor living and working in Los Angeles. She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon and has been acting in television, commercials and voice overs ever since. After studying with Bob Krakower she discovered a love for coaching on camera auditions. Now, she coaches child actors of all ages. You may have seen her in numerous commercial spots like T-mobile, Honda, Chex and Home Depot or on television shows like Cold Case, Judging Amy, Nash Bridges, Felicity, Clueless, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and many more in addition to over 20 audiobooks.

Chris ConnerChris Conner is a stage and screen actor born and raised in Silver City, New Mexico. He moved to Houston, Texas at age 15 where he discovered a talent for acting. He has appeared in multiple TV shows, films, and on stage since receiving a B.F.A. in Acting from Carnegie-Mellon University. He has had a passion for teaching since working with CalArts, Shakespeare LA, and Lincoln Center. You may have seen his work on Altered Carbon, American Crime Story, Rizzoli & Isles, Bones, Gods and Generals, The Menatlist, Masters of Sex, House MD, among many others.

Erin WayErin Way studied Shakespeare and theater at Portland State University, and vocal training in Vancouver, B.C. In Los Angeles she has continued her study with Joan Scheckel, Steppenwolf Theater West, and Will Wallace. In addition, she has taught for The Will Wallace Acting Company and SAG Conservatory. She has been seen on TV as a regular on SyFy’s Alphas, ABC's Detroit 187, USA's Colony, as well as appearances on The Handmaid's Tale, The Mentalist, Agents of SHEILD, Betrayal, Castle, Grimm, Greys Anatomy, Warehouse 13, Hawaii Five-0, Private Practice, and Supernatural.
